Vidin Bulgaria

Vidin, Bulgaria - 2022 Danube River cruise. Vidin is a port city on the Danube in north-western Bulgaria close to both Romania and Serbia. It is one of the poorest areas in the European Union with an aging and shrinking population. Within easy walking distance from the port is the old center of Vidin with a large square with restaurants and shopping, a tree-lined park along the Danube and an interesting blend of architecture including cultures such as Roman, Bulgarian, Turkish, Communist and modern.
